So the month of May has been VERY busy. Summer has sprung and I can see why parents dread it. There is crap going on all the time like camps and party's and events. I guess I am just feeling it cause Ryan and I are in the Young Women and Young Men. But we kinda started out the summer by going to Lake Tejas. It is a family tradition that we have been doing since my Grandpa was a little boy and we have successfully kept it up. I plan on keeping it up with our kids too. =) Here are a few pictures of Mavricks's FIRST Memorial Day Lake Tejas Trip and I guess Ryan's too. =)

| LOVE HIM! You will find that 90% of the time he has a ball in his hand. Haha. |
| Miss Emma Bug |
| Daddy/Uncle Ryan |
| I think EVERY picture I have with him he is struggling to get out of my arms! |
So this month we had a YW/YM Stake Activity Book of Mormon Read-a-thon where they read the entire BOM in 2 days. It was rough!!! Even for the adults. But surprisingly the kids did really well considering. Mavrick was the only baby around so he was good entertainment for the kids. Haha. These pictures are of him wiping the floors. I have been trying to teach him how to help me clean around the house. I guess its paying off. haha. =)
| And we just got board so Mavrick was the entertainment! |
I love the summer/spring too cause of all the Berry farms around. I got to go Blackberry picking and it actually kinda hurt. I am going to wear gloves next time. I wish I would have taken pictures of the farm cause it was so cute. But Mav came with us and I didn't get to pick as many as I would have liked. He was a mess by the time we left.
| They were huge!!! I couldn't believe it. |
| My little boy is such a trooper and patient with us for lugging him around EVERYWHERE! This is his new car seat...forward facing. =) He looks so big! |
| And this is the cute face and beautiful eyes that are going to get him into trouble one day. =) |
Yesterday for a YW/YM combined activity we took the kids crabbing! It was actually really fun. They were catching them like crazy. Its kind weird how you catch them.
| My YW |
| Blue Crab. They had REALLY pretty colors on them. |
| So how you catch them is you put a piece of raw chicken on a string and throw it into the water and you grad a net and catch them as you real them in. Very simple. But they are feisty little suckers! |
| Ryan loved it! =) The Salt Water Marsh that we were at was only 20 min down the road and it was beautiful! But it smelled like crap from all the WHITE TRASH REDNECKS leaving their trash and stuff everywhere! |
| Mavrick was kinda skittish around them though...So was I. haha |
| Helping Daddy with the pole. |
Today was a good day. I woke up and cleaned the house spotless (which dows not always happen everyday) and ate a healthy breakfast with my little boy. Christina Correia (my cousin) and her kids came over to play today. It was nice to have some kids to play with Mavrick. It almost makes me want to have another kid so that he can have someone to entertain him. Haha. ALMOST! We hung out at my house sor a little while and then took the kids to McDonald's for lunch and to play. Mavrick was so curious and funny.
| This is him in the ball pit. Christina helped him in there and he was looking through the holes and laughing. So cute! |
| The famous Mavrick stomp and wave! |
| And this is what I pretty much did the entire time. Get him off the slide. He kept wanting to climb UP the slide while kids were coming DOWN!! |
On the agenda tonight is Enrichment Night at the church (we are learning how to coupon) and working on a few projects around the house and a few client design projects.
I am also going to start writing somethings I am grateful for each post cause this is kinda like my journal. Haha.
Today I am grateful for Family, church callings, berries, McDonalds and healthy eating.
Wow; you guys stay busy! I'm sure both of you are such a blessing and example to the youth in your ward. And, of course, Mavrick is the best entertainment ever! Love and miss you guys.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun summer so far! You should make some blackberry jam. So yummy! :) Oh and I'll bet tyler would be jealous of the crabbing... he always wants to go crawfish fishing the same way... with chicken. I think sometimes he misses his mission in louisiana. Lol. I'm glad you guys are having so much fun! :)
