Mavrick @ 12+ Months

SO I know I am a little late with this post but better late than never. I got this idea from my sister-in-law. Every month she posts a little update about her little boy so i decided that is what I am going to do. Then I will just copy it into my journal. Haha. So Mavrick is 1 years old now. I still can't believe I have a toddler. Its so weird to say but he is such a fun little boy. He seriously has more personality than any baby I have ever met at his age. A few things he is doing right now...

---Chatters at us while waving his arms. Not sure what he is actually saying but most of the time he does it after he gets into trouble or we say no. So we can understand what he is saying without him really SAYING anything. Haha.

---Love to give his Mom (sometimes Dad) slobbery open mouth kisses. He is very selective with them. (Except when it comes to Kemah--my parents dog)

---Is starting to climb. Not happy about that one.

---Weighs about 24lbs and is about 30" tall and wears a size 6 shoe! He has got such big feet.

---He loves attention...go figure...so when he feels like he has an audience he likes to do funny things like stomp on the ground and yell and trot around in circles.

---Is exceptionally good at throwing things. Ryan taught him to play Frisbee (kinda) and he seriously has such a good arm. He can throw pretty far. He also just discovered that he can AIM too...so he likes to play catch. We are working on the Volleyball and Soccer thing now.

---Favorite foods are, otter pops (thanks to Grandpa and Grandmama), grapes, goldfish, cheese toast, and green peas. (I can't complain...he is a pretty descent eater.)

---Along with throwing the balls...he throws his food now. When he is done with something or doesn't like it he wants it OFF his tray. Haha. Not sure how to get him to stop that yet.

---He has a hard time at church...kinda right in the middle of his nap time. So my bag is huge!!! Full of snacks, bubbles, books, and blocks. And that is just to get through Sacrament. Haha. =)

---He is now in a toddler bed. Which he seems to do better with than a crib. But he still prefers to sleep with me and Ryan. Which we hate and love at the same time.

---He has also graduated to a forward facing car-seat. YAHOO! I am loving this. So much easier to get him in. But it is a pain to transfer to another car. It looks really funny in our little car. Those seats are HUGE!!!

---Favorite movie use to be Chuggington but he has graduated to Kung Fu Panda and Mary Poppins. He really likes those.

---Loves to swing on the porch in his swing he got for his birthday.

---His favorite book at the moment is Brown Bear Brown Bear, What Do You See?

---He is also currently into taking the DVDs out of the DVD player.  We are tyring to nip that in the butt right now.

So that is pretty much it. We had his little birthday party and it turned out well. Of course I waited till the last minute to put everything together (like decorations) and got a little stressed but everyone seemed to have fun.

Kabobs, Fruit, 7-Layer salad, Homemade Ice Cream, Homemade Root Beer, and brownies were on the Menu. I think this was more food for Ryan than Mav. Haha.

My little boy is so sweet! =)

Waiting for the food...

We are a brownie family. Not cake...so that is what Mavrick got and he LOVED it.

People always ask if they are twins...

For his birthday Ryan and I got him this big set of balls and a small swimming pool. I am starting to regret the balls though...they are EVERYWHERE!!!

Grandpa LeBaron made him some blocks and he loves them.

Clothes were given! Yahoo...

Toy Dump Druck from Grandma LeBaron.
I think his favorite gift is his swing that Grandmama and Grandpa Williamson gave him. HE ALWAYS WANTS TO SWING!

He constantly is "grounded" from his blocks cause he likes to throw them at people.

He is ALL boy! Haha.

Mommy and Emma

haha...he looks like a little mexican girl. =)
Boys ended the party with a game of frisbee golf around our yard.

Mavrick tried to play...
Grandpa playing like he is 18...
So that is pretty much it. I enjoy entertaining...sometimes I get stressed but that is why I have Ryan. Haha. I had big plans for the decorations but the wind was blowing alot and didn't allow for them. Oh well...I know they are not important but I like to do crafts and I am an interior designer. So what else would I go all out on? haha. =)

Enjoy!

  3. Okay, so don't even bother copying it into a journal. You can just send your blog to some place (Sami knows how...) and turn it into a book. so you have a journal with pictures and everything! That's my plan! love ya! Mav's a cutie!

  4. How fun! I LOVE the pictures! And it's true. You can print out your blog at blogs2print, shutterfly, the blurb or something like that! I use Shutterfly but they are more expensive (I wait until there is a coupon)and you have to copy and paste the blogs into it, but it's not hard.

  5. I think our babies have a LOT in common, from their independent and feisty personalities to their protruding pop bellies! Such a cute little party. You are so good at entertaining!
