So today is our 2-year anniversary!
How crazy is that! I cannot believe it!
It has gone by so fast. I love it. When we were getting married people told us that it is so hard being married but I don't know if I just got a good one or what but it has been so much fun and pretty easy Just living with my best friend. I love him and he is the best Baby Daddy a girl could ask for. =) Haha.
THis weekend we got to go to Houston and chill--without Mav. It was really weird at first and I kept calling my parents like every hour and worrying and then I kinda forgot that we had a kid. And it was nice to just be together without our little boy. Not that we didn't love him but we were able to talk without bringing up Mavrick ALL the time. Haha. Kinda funny how life does that. =)
We headed up to the Houston Temple and did a session. We were WAY over due on that. I can see why it is so hard for parents to go to the temple when you have little kids. Especially outside of Utah cause you have to travel 2 hours to get to it. So it is an all day affair. But we really enjoyed it. So peaceful. It was a great way to start our little trip. I didn't get a picture of us in front of the temple though. =( I forgot and it makes me sad. On the way to the Hotel we stopped by a Korean Market and Ryan found his most favoirte icecream in the world. So I got to try one too.
But then we headed over to our hotel. We stayed in the Magnolia Hotel. It is super nice and pretty reasonable on price but its also the same hotel we stayed at on our first night of our honeymoon. So its kinda a special place to us. They have valet parking and granite countertops and a hot continental breakfast. So its pretty sweet.
But...when we got there we dropped our stuff off and headed on foot in Downtown Houston. City life is fun every once in a while. I would HATE living there but its fun to visit. We walked about 3 blocks until we came to this Vic and Anthony's Steak House which we THOUGHT was just what we wanted.

So we walked into the restaurant and we immediately looked at each other. It was the nicest place I have ever seen. I mean like tuxedos waitresses, Wine glasses, candlelight, and you had to make reservations to have a table. BUt they found us a seat at the bar...which was still really nice. We looked at each other like...uh oh...this is going to be expensive. So...we played the part. Hahaahahah and ate there. Luckily we were still dressed up from the temple cause I didn't see anybody that was not wearing a cocktail dress or a suit in there. But...it was the BEST steak we have ever had by far. I can see why they charge so much. Nothing compares. Ryan siad he would pay for it again in a heartbeat. Haha. But it was kinda fun. Once every 2 years is ok right?

Then we headed back to the hotel to relax and watch a movie. The next morning we woke up and ate the delicious breakfast and showered to leave. The whole day we spent at the movie theatre. Haha. Kinda weird but that is what we like to do. We love movies. WE watched X-Men First Class which was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good. Then we went to Chilis to eat down the road (that was the first date we had when we were dating) and then we went back to watch Kung Fue Panda 2 which is red box worthy. Luckily we didn't have to fork out any money for that day cause it was all gift cards. Haha.
We left and headed home to see our little boy. He was so excited to see us and we were too to be honest. Haha. =)
Anyway...here are some more of my favorite pictures of me and Ryan to celebrate the 2 years together.
