Backtracking: Ryan's 25th Birthday!

So I have fell away from blog land again but I am back in the motion of things. But that means catch up time. So On July 25th Ryan turned 25. He DID NOT want a party. He doesn't like the attention he says so in stead I decided to invite everyone out to eat and to a movie. He actually was kinda excited.  We ended up going to Pappadeaux's Seafood Restaurant which was pretty expensive so we only go for birthdays. Haha. It was so nice to hang out with out our kids. Our friends Chris and Jenny ended up coming down for the weekend and so we got some babies sitters to babysit everyone at our house. It was 3 kids under the age of 15 months. So we definitely needed two. We also got to see my brother and niece this weekend. I miss them but her more than him. She is so cute. I am so mad at myself for not taking pictures! UGH! I can't believe I didn't. But we had a pretty good turnout.

We ate and then headed off to see Captain America! It was seriously one of the best movies I have seen in a long time. So clean and funny..the ending is not my favorite but that is because I am a hopeless romantic.

I ended up doing some party favors which I didn't take pictures of either! I got everyone some boxed candy and a bottle of water for the movie theatre. It turned out kinda cute. Ryan even said they looked good. But I created these on picnik and printed and cut them out and wrapped them around and boxes of candy and water bottles. Super fast and easy and everyone thought they were really fun.

Then on Monday we had our own little family birthday party with Ryan.

Mavrick was being so happy. I think cause he knew he might get cake after dinner. Haha.

I just love my boys. Seriously! =)

All of Ryan's favorites. Okra, Roasted Potatoes, Steak, Fresh Pineapple, Crackers w/ Smoked Mozzarella Cheese, and for the cake Tres Leches. A tradition ever since we have been married.
(please excuse the atrocious table that needs serious refinishing)

All in all I think he had a pretty good birthday. Ryan is such a good Dad and so patient with me MOST of the time. =) Looking forward to many more birthdays with him.

  1. Happy birthday again, Ryan! A quarter of a century, wow! Kayla, sounds like you made it a great day (or two days) for him; what a sweet wife. Love the photo of Ryan and Mavrick grinning together. It was so great to see you guys last week. Love and miss you!
